Transition to fully sustainable cultivation
The HIC combines the advanced botanical expertise of Wageningen University & Research, the crop optimization of Delphy, the innovative entrepreneurial spirit of YES!Delft and StartLife, and the supportive efforts of the Lansingerland municipality.
Years of cooperation between research institutions and companies have already led to many innovations, but acceleration is necessary. This is because the sector faces a major challenge: the transition to fully sustainable cultivation.
That is why Wageningen University & Research, Delphy, the municipality of Lansingerland and incubators Yes!Delft and Startlife have joined forces to form a powerful alliance: the HortiScience Innovation Center (HIC).

Are you an innovative grower, industry investor, or working on a sustainable solution in greenhouse horticulture? Then you don't want to miss the HIC's startup exhibition!
During an inspiring afternoon, the founding partners of the HortiScience Innovation Center (HIC) - StartLife, YES!Delft, Municipality of Lansingerland, Delphy and Wageningen University & Research - will show you around the greenhouses of WUR Bleiswijk and Delphy and introduce you to various innovative solutions that contribute to the transition to a future-proof greenhouse horticulture sector.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, the HIC hosted the "Startup Exhibition. About 100 visitors listened to presentations, were given a tour of the greenhouses and interacted with several startups. This gave them a chance to learn more about innovation and new opportunities in the sector.
